1 cup sugar
1 cup Butter
6 Eggs (beaten)
2 cups Chopped Walnuts
½ tsp. Nutmeg powder
1 ½ cups flour sifted with 1
tsp baking powder
Little Milk |
Frosting
300 gms Icing sugar
½ cups butter
1 tblspn Instant coffee
A few walnut halves for
decoration |
In a bowl, cream together sugar, butter and
eggs. Beat till light and till the sugar dissolves. Add the chopped
walnuts and nutmeg powder and blend well. add the flour
gradually and mix with a little Milk, to make a soft batter. Bake in
a cake tin lined with greased paper in a pre-heated oven. When ready,
allow to cool thoroughly before frosting.
Frosting
Mix icing sugar with the buter and coffee in a heavy saucepan. Add a
little water, mix briskly and heat over boiling water. As soon as the
sugar melts pour the coffee icing over the cake so that it is covered on
all sides. Decorate with walnut hales.
