    | 2 litre Fresh Milk 2 tblspn Cornflour 1 litre Thick Fresh Cream Vanilla Essence | Little Jam or jelly Candied Cherries for garnishing Sugar to taste   |  
  
    | Heat Milk in a heavy pan. Mix Cornflour in a
      little Cold Milk and add to the Hot Milk, Mixing briskly so that lumps do
      not form. Bring to a boiling point, mixing briskly and allow to boil for
      one minute. Add sugar, mix well, cover and allow to cool. Mix in the
      cream, beating briskly with an egg-beater. Add essence. Freeze in
      ice-cream freezer. Serve in glass bowls before serving the ice-cream. Place one candied cherry on each while serving.   |
