250 gms plain flour
125 gms diced Butter /
Margarine
A pinch of salt
3-4 tblspn Water |
Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Cut
in the fat with a knife until all the pieces of fat are coated with flour
and then rub with the finger tips until the mixture reaches the bread crumb
stage. Make a well in the center and add the fingers to make a firm dough,
adding the rest of the water if needed. Turn on to a floured surface and
knead lightly. Chill for 40 minutes before using.
